I smiled and replied, "God willing, may God grant Sir Taher a speedy recovery and good health!"

As I opened the door, the empty and silent house frightened me. It seemed like it wasn't the same home as before! The home that was filled with my mother's presence, her scent, and the sound of her breaths. I wiped away the tears that had once again gathered on my cheeks.

I placed my bag on the coat hanger by the door and took off my clothes. I thought to myself, how strange it is that one no longer has anything to lose, except their own life! I prayed from the depths of my heart, praying as if the whole world could hear me.
